Dr. Sharda S. Nandram, born in Suriname, Person of Indian Origin from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India and resident of the Netherlands as of 1985. Sharda is Associate Professor at Nyenrode Business University and founder of Praan Solutions for alternative economic practices. Sharda is also full professor Hindu Spirituality and Society at the Faculty of Religion and Theology of the Vrije University of Amsterdam. She has earned two bachelors and two masters (one in Psychology and the other in Economics (both at the University of Amsterdam). She has also earned her PhD in Social Sciences at the Vrije University at Amsterdam. Her topics of interests are: entrepreneurship, organizational innovation, spirituality in management and Indian leadership. In her former positions she was professor of Entrepreneurship at the HAN University of Applied Sciences and Senior Researcher at the Nyenrode Forum for Economic Research and founder and president of the women council of the GOPIO Netherlands (Global Organization of People of Indian Origin). She is supervisor of SJOAL (a Dutch initiative for new perspectives on entrepreneurial education) and advisor to Skerpe Jeugd (an institute for mental development of young athletes).

Her books in English include The Spirit of Entrepreneurship: Exploring the Essence of Entrepreneurship Through Personal Stories (2008, Springer), Spirituality and Business: Exploring Possibilities for a New Management Paradigm (2010, Springer) and Organizational Innovation by Integrating Simplification: Learning from Buurtzorg Nederland (2015, Spinger).
